Biden. That could be the entire post, but allow me to go into a bit more detail.
The economy is performing poorly — that’s obvious to everyday Americans and evident in the housing market, car market, and labor market; essentially, every economic sector is tough for Americans. According to a Gallup poll, 41% of Americans cite inflation or the high cost of living as the most pressing financial problem facing their families, and prices in many categories have risen by as much as 20.8% since February 2020. However, the Biden administration consistently claims the opposite.
Why is that? Well, the short answer is they’re liars. Virtually all new jobs that Karine Jean-Pierre, the Biden press secretary, touts are bogus. Yes, completely bogus and economically unproductive. They're meaningless jobs created by Biden to inflate his numbers and funded by you and me, the American taxpayers who are now doubly screwed.
Biden is asleep at the wheel of what was once the strongest economy to ever grace the planet in human history. In just a few short years, he’s managed to ruin it — a mere shadow of its former glory. Not only does he create useless jobs funded by, you know who, but he also refuses to turn off the COVID federal spending tap, causing every state to burn through federally funded dollars at an absurd rate on more useless junk.
Here’s the third knockout punch: he’s forgiving college debt. Firstly, the Supreme Court has already declared this unconstitutional. Secondly, why is Biden spending this money when the budget is already almost $2 trillion in deficit. Thirdly, this is wildly unfair to other constituents who also have debt (mortgages, credit cards, etc.) whose debt is no less deserving.
Now, overlooking the obvious unfairness of such a proposal, it’s also economically unwise. On average, college graduates in the United States earn significantly more than individuals without a college degree. According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), as of 2020, the median weekly earnings for someone with a bachelor's degree were about 67% higher than for someone with only a high school diploma ($1,305 versus $781 per week). Sounds like they can afford to pay for their own degree, and if they can’t afford the loan they shouldn’t take it. What a novel concept!
We’re living in a dystopian world, some twisted version of Robin Hood where Biden takes from the poor and gives to the rich. The American economy can heal, but the only way this is possible is to excise the cancer.
Biden has got to go.
